• Residential building I

    Erfurt (D)

A property developer wanted to erect a residential and commercial building at the south-west tip of a residential area (a small corner of fallow land) between 1920s homes and gabled post-war structures. The building plan included two levels for the savings bank, while the other three floors were for residential units. Complex spacing meant the residential levels were built upwards in a terrace-like manner. The apartments are intertwined in such a way that each one has a south-facing rooftop terrace.

    Main useable floor space
    880 sqm
    1999 Completion
