  • In this way, the white cuboid on the edge of the park communicates between the high rise buildings and park area. The elevation ensures the permeability between the park and boulevard and provides flood protection at the same time. The public use of the building does not only take place in the cuboid in the form of the museum; it is surrounded by it. The square under the museum takes on a central role and is divided into city and park balconies. The museum is supplied from the base, which contains lifts in addition to the emergency staircase.

  • A longitudinally oriented "flying atrium" in the new museum building brings daylight to the museum and the square beneath it. As an addition to the activity space in the park, the public utilisation is continued on the roof of the museum. Here, in classical integrated Bauhaus style, physical fitness is in the foreground. In this way, the Bauhaus Museum closes off the city space from the street, accommodates the existing park and offers residents and visitors new stimulation at the same time.
