• Living at Mainzerhofplatz Erfurt (D)

The plan draws on the unique urban “street bay” concept on Holzheienstraße. The Z-shaped structure thus cannot really exist as a single entity, and will instead be subdivided into urban spaces. The eave height and roof pitch of the adjacent building will be adopted at the square. Floor-to-ceiling dormer windows blend harmoniously into the four-storey structure, emphasising the square and street corner, and providing the perfect transition into the taller buildings on Holzheienstraße.

  • The access balcony means the building only requires one staircase and one elevator. Maximum flexibility allows it to meet the requirements of the housing market. The building features 17 residential units spanning areas between 64 and 151 sq m, and an underground car park.
