    Lübeck (D)

Lübeck’s old town is characterised by small-scale diversity, thanks to plot size rules and the planned individual buildings.

A uniform architectural style would not be beneficial.
The competition specifications were very tight, up to a maximum panel size of 0.7 sq m, resulting in historicised façades.

We tried to break with this.

We propose three types of façades featuring fundamentally distinct designs, developed based on the floor plans.

This increases each building’s individual identity.

The colours and materials used vary.
