- Multy-Generation-Living Andreasgärten
Erfurt (D)
competition 2015
in co-operation with club l94 landscape architects
The Andreasgärten residence offers a variety of uses, ranging from kindergarten to family homes to a nursing facility, not to mention accompanying care services. The sprawling structure forms a courtyard, with its west-facing roof gardens lush and low towards the fortification wall end.
At the city end, the building increases in height, adopting a more urban feel.
The park by the fortification wall is perpetuated in the form of the roof gardens, giving all residential units high-quality outdoor space.
The kindergarten and its outdoor play areas are housed in the heritage-listed buildings.
