• new bus station
    Sömmerda (D)

The design is logically based on the buses´ needs and setup. The sawtooth-shaped bays are each given a low roof to protect passengers. The roof is raised at the boarding area so that tour buses/double-decker buses can also get through. The roof merges the bays into one structure. The load-bearing panels provide protection from the wind, and can also fulfil ohter functions. The new bus station gives the inhomogeneous site on the outskirt of the old town a new identity, and the park path a more interesting setting.
