• New building in
    residential district

    Munich Neuperlach (D)

    Competition 2020

    in co-operation with Plateau Landschaftsarchitekten

The district interweaves two predominant architectural themes, the new structure acting as an intermediary between the large-scale 1970s buildings and the smaller-scale area characterised by detached houses.

In doing so, it affords the district a scale appropriate to creating a sense of community. An enclosed 6-8-storey noise-barrier structure faces the large streets, while the quiet interior is made up of individual buildings of varying heights (but no more than 5 storeys), arranged in a chequerboard manner. These are accessed by footpaths, which each open out into the recessed, leafy courtyards.
