This project draws on the angles of the Gisperslebener Höfe, in response to the site which is setting new benchmarks in urban spaces. The planned usage will span four buildings, enabling clear, socially intact housing communities.
Smooth, light rendered façades overlook Ulan-Bator-Strasse, matching the apartment blocks and ensuring a uniform look.
The façades and sloping roofs overlooking the courtyard, on the other hand, are designed to reflect the village in terms of colour and texture.
In a deliberate shift away from large housing estates, this complex is a mix of individual floor plans. The larger units are predominantly maisonette-style with garden access, increasing their attractiveness to young families.
The two different districts are walking distance apart here, creating the urgently needed link between them.
