With a stunning view of the rural idyll of the Thuringian Forest, the hillside property is adjoined by a large open space. In contrast with the mundane surrounding structures, the new building stands out as a detached house that further enhances the town’s architecture with its customary slate-work. A monolithic structure sits on the ground floor –dug into the hillside–, provides room for 4 vehicles, and houses all adjoining rooms plus a guest room.

  • The upper floor and its rounded recesses fully open out embrace the beautiful view. The living room, dining room and kitchen form a collective lookout point while still remaining separable thanks to sliding partitions. The children area is located in the attic, which is connected to the living room via a mezzanine level.
